'Depth' Series 103 is an ongoing project that depicts the subjects of nature, like moss and algae. elements that that we as humans have become so accustomed to seeing. the things we tend to over look in life, the every day ordinary and due to these common encounters and the way we automatically dismiss them as insignificant. they are forced into 'a state of the forgotten'. however, they are all integral parts of the landscape.
by using an aperture of 5.6 or less, the minimal and restricted focus allows our perspective to change and involuntarily recognise the 'beauty' in what something that would necessarily be referred to as 'ugly'.

ABSTRACT
POLYPODIODHYTA
Polypodiophyta (fern) is a particular vascular plant that does not grow through seeds or reproduce through flowers but instead through spores. They are a chain within the evolution of life. This is a series that captures this in the style of abstract photography. Similar to Edward Henry Weston, his ability to focus sharply on natural forms and transforms them into an image of true precision of construction and configuration. We are able to find beauty in the most simplest and common things around us.
