THE ROMANTICS
THE ROMANTICS
'The Romantics' is a series of photograph's inspired by the late 18th century movement, Romanticism. It is an aesthetic form of art that emphasises subjectivity and the expression of emotion. Influenced by romantic artists, Caspar David Friedrich and J.M.W. Turner, this series challenges the purity of nature. As Charles Baudelaire states in (1846), ‘Romanticism is precisely situated neither in choice of subject nor in exact truth but in a way of feeling.’
